The Cumberland County YMCA is offering opportunity for Service Providers to receive Mental Health First Aid free. We are asking a $65 fee, that will be returned upon completion of the course to partially cover the cost of the online portion of the course.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify and help a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing a mental health crisis, or a worsening of their mental health. Like physical first aid, MHFA assistance is provided until professional support arrives.
This course opens with a self-directed module (Module 1) that focuses on the information and strategies that participants will discuss and practice throughout the live classroom modules (Modules 2 and 3). Course participants will complete Module 1 online before participating in Modules 2 and 3.
